BIKING
We offer mountain bikes for rides through the Apuani Alps paths and olive tree gardens. Mensano, Radicondoli, Casole d’Elsa and especially Monteriggioni are excellent mountain biking destinations. For the ambitious, San Gimignano and Colle di Val d’Elsa are favorite half-day trips.
For road riders, there is an exceptional biking center just down the road from the Casali. Ask the concierge about having a touring package fitted for your arrival – for we are at the center of the best biking in the world.

HORSE RIDING
Horseback riding in Tuscany is one of life’s greatest joys. There’s nothing as romantic and invigorating as riding through the majestic groves, sprawling valleys and lush vineyards of Italy’s most beautiful countryside.
A spectacular equestrian center is located about 35 minutes from the Casali di Casole estate, providing the perfect opportunity for trail rides and horseback tours. Ask your concierge to arrange a horseback adventure during your vacation in Tuscany.

Many of the best and oldest golf courses in Italy are located within 60 to 90 minutes from the estate; a few even offering preferred rates exclusively for our Owners and guests.
The concierge can assist with tee times and club rentals at the course of your choice. We would also note that these are traditional, often older courses, carved from rolling terrain. And while they are not manicured resort courses, they do offer a wonderful opportunity to add 18 memories to your next visit to Tuscany.

Hike through vineyards and olive groves, past historic castles and hamlets to relish the peace and harmony of the landscape. You can purchase a map through the concierge and explore on your own or join an English-speaking guide for a new perspective and panorama.

The guides we work with are eager to share their love and knowledge of the natural world. Foodies from around the world dream of truffle hunting in Tuscany, home to the most delectable and rare truffles on earth.
In the fall, Owners and hotel guests may join a truffle treasure hunt on the estate of Casali di Casole. In a small group, explore private reserves guided by expert truffle-hunters who will explain all you need to know to find these curious, elusive delicacies. You will be assisted by experienced and inseparable dogs of the Lagotto Romagnolo breed – essential companions to help locate these precious tubers.
Enjoy a relaxing day in nature as you seek out these pungent, culinary gems, then try them yourselves at a celebratory meal afterwards in a local osteria or your villas on the estate.
